Bahco Ergo Handle and Interchangeable Saw Blades
The Bahco Ergo Interchangeable System combines tailored ergonomic handles with task specific blades, offering tradespeople a modular handsaw solution that maximises comfort and saves tool bag space.
Why Bahco Ergo Handles Stand Out
- Tailored Hand Sizing: Available in two right-handed options (Medium and Large) and one left-handed option (Large). Matching palm width to handle size ensures even pressure distribution across the hand, preventing sore spots during heavy daily use.
- Biomechanically Engineered: Built with a soft thermoplastic elastomer grip and an angled profile that keeps the wrist in a neutral position, significantly reducing joint strain and forearm fatigue.
- Cost and Transport Efficiency: Buying one premium handle eliminates the need to carry multiple full-sized saws. Replacement blades are cheaper to buy and pack completely flat in a toolbox.
Fitting and Removing the Blade
Changing blades takes under five seconds using the patented quick-release lever mechanism:
- Removal: Lift the safety locking lever on top of the handle to release clamping tension, then pull the blade straight out.
- Fitting: Slide the notched rear fitting of the blade into the handle slot and push the lever down flat until it clicks firmly into position.
Each blade in the lineup is engineered with Bahco's low-friction, rust-protective coating and a heavy gauge steel body for straight, true cuts. They attach instantly to any Bahco EX handles (EX-RM, EX-RL, or EX-LL) using the patented quick-release click mechanism.

By separating the handle from the blades, you instantly clear out half the clutter in your van while saving your wrist on heavy cutting days. Instead of hauling around five full-sized handsaws, or ruining a good blade on plasterboard, you simply click in the exact blade you need for the job in seconds. It saves space, protects your joints, and keeps replacement costs low when a blade gets blunt, making it a dead simple site upgrade that quickly pays for itself.
