Orders & Delivery

1. How much is delivery?

Local delivery is FREE on all orders over £50 (+VAT) within our local 45-mile delivery radius. For smaller orders or those outside our primary zone, shipping is automatically calculated at checkout based on the weight and size of your order. For nationwide courier delivery, we offer FREE shipping on orders over £50 (+VAT), and for orders under this amount, we add £3.95 (+VAT) 

2. Where do you deliver?

We operate our own fleet for local deliveries within 45 miles of our Hunmanby, Scarborough, and Bridlington branches. We also offer nationwide courier delivery for most tools and smaller hardware items across the UK.

3. Can I track my order?

Yes. Once your order is dispatched via courier, you will receive an email with the full tracking details of your parcel(s). For local deliveries made by our own vehicles, our team will contact you directly to confirm a delivery window so you know exactly when to expect us.

4. How quickly will my order arrive?

We aim for Next Day Delivery on orders placed before 2:30pm. Most local deliveries are fulfilled within 1 working day. You will be notified immediately if any specialist items require a longer lead time.

5. Do you deliver large or bulky items like timber and roofing?

Yes, we are able to offer local delivery within a 45 mile radius using our own delivery fleet. Our drivers and vehicles are equipped to handle large or bulky items like timber, uPVC, roofing sheets, and aggregates, delivering them safely to your home or site address. 

Click & Collect

6. How does Click & Collect work?

Simply select "Click & Collect" at checkout and choose your preferred branch (Hunmanby, Scarborough, or Bridlington). Most orders are ready for collection within 1-2 working hour for stocked items. You will be notified via email when your order is ready to collect.

7. What do I need to bring to collect my order?

Please bring your order confirmation (digital or printed) and a valid form of ID. If you are sending someone else to collect on your behalf, please notify us in advance.

8. Are online prices the same as in-store?

Yes, you’ll always find the same great prices whether you shop with us online or visit one of our local branches. We keep our pricing consistent across both, so you can shop in the way that suits you best with complete confidence.

Products & Trade

9. Do you offer trade accounts?

Yes, we highly value our trade customers. We offer both Cash and Credit trade accounts. You are welcome to contact our accounts department in order to apply for a trade account: accounts@transtools.co.uk.

10. Can you source items not listed on the website?

With access to over 20,000 products and deep industry connections, we can often source specialist tools or materials. If you can't find what you need, call us on 01723 892122 and we will do our best to find it for you.

Returns & Support

11. What is your returns policy?

You can return unused, resaleable items in their original packaging within 28 days of purchase. In order to return your item, you will need to contact us within 14 day to start your return and will have a further 14 days in which to retrun the order. Please note that any "cut-to-size" products (like certain timber or uPVC profiles) will be exempt from our standard return policy.

12. What should I do if my item is faulty or damaged?

We take great care in our deliveries, but if an item arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours. We will arrange a replacement or refund as quickly as possible at no extra cost to you.

13. Are your prices inclusive of VAT?

On our website, we display both the Ex. VAT and Inc. VAT prices to accommodate both trade professionals and DIY enthusiasts. Your final total at checkout will clearly show the VAT breakdown.

14. Where are your stores located and what are your opening hours?

We have three branches on the East Coast of Yorkshire: Hunmanby, Scarborough, and Bridlington. You can find the full branch address and well as the current opening hours on our Contact Us page.
